What does the niacinamide in this do?

Niacinamide works on uneven tone, the look of pores and oil balance, and it supports the skin barrier rather than stripping it.

I have melanin-rich skin — how should I use this?

Go slower rather than stronger. Irritation is what triggers dark marks on melanin-rich skin, so a product bought to fade them can create them if it is pushed too hard. Start a couple of times a week, build up only once your skin stays comfortable, and wear sunscreen the next morning. A higher percentage is not an upgrade.

How it works

How to use

As a mask: On cleansed skin, apply a generous, even layer. Leave on for 5–10 minutes and gently wipe off.
As an overnight treatment: Apply a thin layer over cleansed skin, under your night cream, and leave on overnight.
As a spot treatment: Apply directly on spots or areas of concern and leave on overnight.

Pro tip: Follow with a hydrating moisturizer or sleeping mask for soft, fresh, glowing skin. Always use sunscreen during the day when using exfoliating acids.
